The Intranet In a Box provides authorized users with secure document storage, online forums and Instant Messaging for projects, subject areas and business units.

Rooms
Each Project, Business Unit or Subject Area has a unique room. A Room is like an online filing cabinet for storing files, sharing ideas in the online forum and communicating between room members using Instant Messages. Only users with specific room access can gain access to the documents or discussion, and a user can be an internal employee or an external client.

Document & File Storage
Files such as PDF's, Word Documents, etc can be securely shared and stored in each room. When a document is uploaded to the Intranet, all members of the room are automatically notified by email, making sure members of a team are kept up to date of changes.
Online Forums
Members of the room can collaborate on projects or start discussions with other members in the room's Online forums. The online forum automatically notifies members of a discussion when a new message is created in the forum.
Instant Messaging
Members can communicate with each other by sending an Instant Message from anywhere they see the send message icon. To notify the user that a new message has been sent, the system will automatically send the user an email notification.
Security
Security is provided through two levels of user control, by username & password and server authentication. Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure security the Intranet should not be used for the storage of credit card numbers or business intelligence which you would not normally send through email.
Integration with Skype for VOIP phone calls
The Intranet in a Box can also integrate with Skype for free or low cost Phone Calls over an Internet Connection.
